The White Stripes – The Hardest Button to Button.

Main Riff:

It was a ray gun, And it was 1981

We named him “Baby”, He had a toothache

I grabbed a rag doll, Stuck some little pins in it

(drum comes in…)

Now we’re a family, And we’re alright now

We got money and a little place, To fight now
| A5 | C5 | A5 | C5 |
We don’t know you, And we don’t owe you
| A5 | C5 | B5 | D5 |
But if you see us around, I got something else to show you

We keep warm, But there’s just something wrong with ya
| A5 | C5 | B5 | D5 |
Just feel that you’re the hardest little button to button

(drums come in…)

| A5 | C5 | A5 | C5 | (strummen met elke maat: | ^ ^ ^v^ ^v | etc. )
I had opinion that didnt matter

I had a brain that felt like pancake batter
| A5 | C5 | A5 | C5 |
I got a backyard with nothing in it
| A5 | C5 | B5 | D5 |
Except a stick, a dog, and a box with something in it

| A5 | C5 | (strummen met bam! bam! bam! bam! = | ^ ^ ^ ^ | etc. )
The hardest button to button (4x) Ah oh

| A5 | C5 |
The hardest button to button (2x) Ah oh

| B5 | D5 |
The hardest button to button

| C5 | B5 |

| A5 | … | C5 | …
The hardest button to button (4x)

| A5 | …
